For me, it took 5 weeks after the methotrexate for my hcg lvl to be back down to 0. My hcg was around 715 when I was diagnosed as ectopic. Around week 3, my doctor almost suggested a 2nd shot because it was going down real slow.I got a positive pregnancy test on Nov 22nd (1-2 weeks it said on test).
