I recently purchased a Buescher Aristocrat tenor sax for my 14yr old daughter. She wanted an older sax but not too old because of price for one and also, from what we’ve read, the finger action on older ones seem to be harder (or at least different) for someone her age. Review for legere reeds. I just got my Legere 2.75 alto sax reed in today, my first synthetic reed. It really surprised me. It is very free blowing, but mabye because its a little soft to my liking. The sound got a little spread after a few minutes, but it was a focused sound.
